Tragedy struck Hollywood today when it was confirmed that Glee star Cory Monteith was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room at just 31 years old.

While Monteith entered into treatment at a drug addiction facility earlier this year and had been open about his struggles in the past, no cause of death has yet been revealed for the actor's sudden death, though no foul play is suspected.

But while the shock of his death is still reverberating among costars, fans and the community at large, Monteith's memory is sure to live on, and not just in the flood of tributes that has poured in following his passing.

"We are so saddened to confirm that the reports on the death of Cory Monteith are accurate," a rep for the late actor said in a statement. "We are in shock and mourning this tragic loss."

The first of Monteith's Glee costars to react to his death was Mark Salling, who simply tweeted out a stunned, "no."

There has been no public response yet from Monteith's costar and girlfriend Lea Michele, and it is unclear if she was with Monteith in the days leading up to his death. While he checked into Vancouver's Fairmont Hotel on July and was sadly due to check out earlier today, Michele was last photographed in Mexico on July 9.

In any case, Monteith will long be remembered beyond his career-making role of Finn Hudson, which he played since Glee's inception in 2009.
