Naomi Campbell: In demand around the globe. Naomi Campbell's bodily fluids: Unwelcome in more than one hemisphere.

A little more than a week after London police failed to see the benefit of being on the receiving end of the supermodel's spit, a Rio de Janeiro hospital has rejected her willing participation in a blood drive.

Campbell arrived at the city's HemoRio medical center on Tuesday to take part in the campaign to collect blood to combat Brazil's current dengue fever epidemic. The outbreak is the worst in the nation's history and has already infected more than 75,000 people and killed at least 80 in Rio state.

Unfortunately, the catwalker failed to read the fine print before hopping on the 13-hour flight on Brazil's TAM Airlines (not British Airways, from which she's reportedly been banned) to Rio to lend a hand—or vein—to the cause.

Officials were forced to turn her away because not enough time has elapsed since she had surgery in February for her to be eligible to donate.

The 37-year-old beauty spent one week recovering in a São Paulo hospital after emergency surgery to remove a small cyst from her abdomen. She was discharged Feb. 29.

Campbell arrived in Rio on Monday night to lend awareness to the deadly, mosquito-borne disease. In addition to the blood bank, Campbell has also paid visits to various fire stations, where temporary shelters have been erected for adults and children suffering from the condition.
