Joel Madden sure has a fierce supporter in Seal.

The British singer took to Twitter to defend his fellow coach on The Voice Australia from what he perceived to be shoddy treatment at the hands of both the local media and Madden's hotel following the Good Charlotte frontman's bust for marijuana possession in Sydney.

Madden is not facing any charges, but Seal was apparently incensed enough by the incident to sound off in a heated rant—which he later apologized for after deleting all but one of his posts.

But not quite fast enough...

"@TheVoiceAU @JoelMadden All my Brother has done since he's been here is serve this country by attending numerous kids hospitals cont….." Seal began in the one tweet that's still standing (at press time).

Twitter

The sentence continued: "homeless shelters, provide time and love for disabled kids, represent at the Logies and not to mention bring hope to aspiring artists...across the nation with his authenticity and heart. Yet having a joint in the privacy of his hotel room is worthy of front page news??? cont."

Seal went on: "Way to respect a guest in your country trash media, way to make us feel welcome. Keep it up..sure we'll be back next year. and yes, I say we because it's just a matter of time before you gun us all down. Hell, you even it you're own @DeltaGoodrem who's a national treasure!!"

Goodrem is also a coach on the show.

"It's a shame," Seal went on. "I for one will not stand by and watch you attempt to destroy my Brother, you gun one you gun us all! Shame one the Star cont..you ask him to meet n greet a cancer victim in your hotel then send police to his room?? Nice…very classy..keep it up Judas. I'm done here. can't wait to go home."

Twitter

Within barely two hours, however, he had deleted the tweets and followed up with a series of apologetic posts.

"I want to apologise for my rant earlier," the repentant Seal tweeted. "Joel is one of my best friends and I was really hurting for him.

"I want to say I have loved being in Australia, I've loved working on The Voice and with an incredibly talented group of Australian artists," Heidi Klum's ex continuedadding, "It's been almost 11 weeks away from my kids and me saying 'I can't wait to go home' was me missing being home with them."

Sounds like going home will be sweet for everyone involved.
