Christie Brinkley has forged an inimitable career in front of the camera, but these days, the erstwhile supermodel gets a kick out of being behind it.
The blond stunner—who's appeared on the covers of more than 500 magazines, not to mention three consecutive Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues—admits to Social Life magazine that she's hooked on Instagram, snapping all sorts of mise-en-scène amid her day-to-day life in and around Long Island's posh East End.
"I am newly addicted to Instagram," she tells the Hamptons mag, which will celebrate the launch of its latest issue with a splashy fete hosted by Brinkley at the Social Life Estate in Water Mill in the Hamptons on May 25.
"I find when I walk with a camera in my hand, I am extra alert and attuned to all the extraordinary beauty that abounds, from the smallest detail of a powdery pistil in a flower to the texture of the sky," the 59-year-old adds.
Indeed, a quick skim of her Instagram page reveals snaps of all sorts of eye-popping flora and greenery, along with vistas of her bucolic Hamptons town.
"Taking pictures intensifies my appreciation and awe," she muses.
With pretty pics like these, who can argue?
And speaking of pretty pics, the stunner stripped down to model a swimsuit for the chic mag for the first time in 30 years. The last time she rocked a bathing suit for a magazine was for Sports Illustrated (she was the SI Swimsuit Issue cover girl in 1979, 1980 and 1981).
Clearly she's still got it!
