But at Monday's Met Gala, she seemed to do just that. Despite rocking a gorgeous Valentino gown and being surrounded by some of her BFFs (Cameron Diaz! Beyoncé! Stella McCartney!), the actress later slammed the fête as "un-fun."
"I'm never going again. It was so un-fun. It was boiling. It was too crowded. I did not enjoy it at all," the Oscar winner told USA Today.
Ouch! Maybe the World's Most Beautiful Woman was hanging in the wrong corner because judging by other celebritiies' Instagram pictures, the fashion fête was a total blast.
As for the 2014 Met Gala, USA Today goes on to say she will be skipping all future iterations of fashion's biggest night. "I'm never going again," she said.
Not to worry, Gwyneth. We have a feeling after Anna Wintour reads your review, next year's invite might get lost in the mail.
