Apparently, The Wanted decided to have a little fun with their boy-band image in their latest music video.
The hunky Brits premiered the video for their latest single "Walk Like Rihanna," which features the fivesome—including Tom Parker, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Max George and Nathan Sykes—walking a lot like…N'Sync.
The video follows the singers as they "shoot" their latest music video, pitching ideas to their sexy music video director as they pay homage to previous boy-band pop culture.
First, the singers poke fun at their forefathers by parodying N'Sync's puppet-themed hit "Bye Bye Bye" from their album "No Strings Attached."
But that's just the tip of the iceberg in their cheeky tribute to early tunes. The video also spoofs the Backstreet Boys' hit "I Want It That Way" and features the singers sporting all-white suits, identical to those worn in the wildly popular 1999 music video.
And in case you were concerned the men are only mocking American groups, rest assured, because the video also parodies fellow U.K. boy-banders Take That, playing off their hit "Back for Good."
Oh, and did we mention there's even a little Gangnam style action?!
Of course, the copycat clips don't make the cut for The Wanted's latest video, causing the video vixen who actually "walks like Rihanna" to save the day.
"Walk Like Rihanna" was shot before Nathan Sykes went on an "unforeseen hiatus" from the boy band to undergo throat surgery. The single is the lead song off The Wanted's 2013 album.
Don't miss the premiere of The Wanted Life Sunday, June 2, at 10 p.m. ET/PT only on E!
