Her Majesty paid a visit Thursday to Headley Court in Surrey, Britain's top military rehabilitation center, and met with young British soldiers severely injured in the line of duty in the War in Afghanistan.

Per the U.K. 's Express, the queen toured the facility with Prince Philip, opened a refurbished ward and watched amputee patients work out their artificial limbs along obstacle courses and maneuver around on wheelchairs.

It was the first time the 87-year-old monarch had been to the medical facility, and she reportedly told one seriously ill guardsman: "You're in the best place."

No doubt they appreciated the royal attention.
