NBC has released the synopsis for the series finale of The Office, and it includes some very interesting and mildly spoilery info. Click out if you don't want to be spoiled! For those who are intrigued, read on.
"Months after the airing of the documentary, the workers of Dunder Mifflin, past and present, gather for a wedding and a final round of interviews. Mysteries are solved, hatchets are buried, pranks are prunked."
We love the idea of the documentary crew returning to talk to the Dunder Mifflin gang one last time, but of course the more exciting piece of info is the wedding! NBC has also confirmed the guest stars (at least the ones they are revealing) for the finale: Mindy Kaling, B.j. Novak, Rachael Harris, Dakota Johnson, Joan Cusack, Ed Begley Jr., Malcolm Barrett, Matt Jones, Andy Buckley, Mike Schur and Bobby Ray Shafer.
The presence of Mike Schur (cousin Mose) leads us to believe that this might be Dwight's wedding, but to whom? Kelly and Ryan are also going to be there. Could Kelly have dumped Ravi for Ryan? We sincerely hope not. Stay with the man who treats you right, girl! Finally, we know this is a long shot, but it could be Michael (Steve Carell) and Holly's (Amy Ryan) wedding, since that would be a good reason to bring back all these Dunder Mifflin employees. But while we truly believe Carell will show up in some way in the finale, we don't think he'd make that big of an appearance. The wedding could honestly be any number of couples, so at the very least we'll be surprised when the episode comes around.
Your turn to speculate! Who do you think could be getting married in The Office series finale? Take our poll below and let's hash it out in the comments!
