FOXHe's ba-aaack!
Now we don't like to play favorites, but sometimes we just have to. One example? Drunk Nick (Jake Johnson) on New Girl is hands down one of our favorite TV characters!
And because New Girl is just that awesome, they are bringing him back in tonight's episode and we've got an exclusive sneak peek at the hilarity, and a behind-the-scenes look at the Fox sitcom's trip to the zoo. Yes, that's right: Drunk Nick decides to visit the zoo. (Related question: Is there an Emmy for acting drunk?)
"Men bond by going to the zoo? I'm going to say no," Johnson says in "Going Wild," an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the filming of tonight's episode. "But they do on New Girl!"
Nick and Winston (Lamorne Morris) head to the zoo, where Nick decides to partake in a little day-drinking, followed by yelling at the animals...and possibly fighting them? "Who wins, me vs. gorilla?" he asks Jess (Zooey Deschanel). "Me vs. Gorilla. No, but in a contest. But in a competition."
While some viewers may find Nick's behavior worrisome, Johnson insists his character hasn't hit a low point. "I would almost say the opposite," he counters. "I think Nick is hitting a high point. He's at the zoo, he's drunk and he's yelling at animals. Sounds like a pretty good zone for Nick."
