LeAnn Rimes has a case of puppy-dog eyes.
The 30-year-old singer rescued an abandoned dog with her husband Eddie Cibrian and two stepsons, 9-year-old Mason and 5-year-old Jake, Wednesday.
After the songstress saw a tweet from her friend about the abandoned pooch (he was a victim of a doggy "drop and drive"), Rimes and her family wanted to see the pup, and the little guy stole their animal-loving hearts.
"We ALL fell in love at first sight," Rimes posted on her blog. "Even our doggies welcomed her instantly."
As for the adorable puppy's name?
Rimes admits stepson Mason picked the moniker Eveie because he had been saving it "for his little sister so he says." She also adds that "Mason says she came just in time for Thanksgiving."
The country star—who recently said she feels like she's "starting over" after completing a stint in rehab—couldn't be happier with the new furry addition to her family:
"She's brought a ton of joy into our home in just the few hours she's been with us," Rimes wrote. "Eveie has a new home and family and we have a new love!"
And now little Eveie is officially living the good life with the Cibrian-Rimes clan.
"Spoiled…" Leann tweeted this morning along with a sweet pic of her pup bundled up in a sweater and lounging with a cozy blanket.
Aw, what a good mom! Eveie is one lucky dog.
