Sure, theres's no one alive today who could tell us what Abraham Lincoln was like as a person, but for some reason, it really seems like Daniel Day-Lewis got it right.
The trailer for Lincoln was released today, and it's hard to look away as Steven Spielberg takes us back to the 1860s.
Scenes from the Civil War open the trailer with Lincoln reciting The Gettysburg Address in the background, and quickly we see the president conflicting with members of his cabinet.
The film also stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones and Sally Field.
Get a sneak peek at the film and mark your calendars for the nationwide release on Nov. 16.
