Scarlett Johansson's Democratic National Convention Speech Targets Young Americans

She's not just a beautiful actress, Scarlett Johansson is a young American with a message.

The star took the podium during tonight's Democratic National Convention to give her address which was targeted at young voters.

"In 2008, less than half of all eligible voters between the ages of 18 and 24 voted," she said. "Young America, why are we only speaking with half our voice when so many issues at stake here directly affect us?"

Guess who the hot Democrats of the Day are?

Johansson also shared the story of her family barely making enough to get by in New York City, and how she and many of her friends, to this day, "depend on public and nonprofit programs to help them survive."

So what does she want us to do? Vote.

"You know who I'm voting for. I'm not going to tell you who to vote for. I'm here to ask you to commit to vote."

Simple enough, right?

"Today there are people trying take away rights that our mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers fought for: our right to vote, our right to choose, affordable quality education, equal pay, access to health care," Washington said. "We the people can't let that happen."

Eva LongoriaJon Hamm and girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt were among the famous faces present, along with the Foo Fighters and Marc Anthony, who performed.
