Ladies and gentlemen, we have officially found our Finnick!

Sam Claflin will take on the highly coveted role of District 4 tribute Odair in The Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire. The British-born actor has long been rumored to be the frontrunner for the part, and today Lionsgate sealed the deal.

Claflin—best known for playing royalty opposite Kristen Stewart in this summer's Snow White and the Huntsman—will, of course, play Finnick, a victor with killer looks (one of the first times we meet him he's almost completely naked—so start those situps now, Sam!) and a sometimes-douchey 'tude.

[SPOILER ALERT] Finnick is cast back in the arena opposite Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) for the 75th annual Hunger Games and, though the two originally butt heads, they come to see each other as allies. Odair battles with a trident and is joined in the arena by the 80-year-old Mags (who will be played by Lynn Cohen).

Claflin previously starred in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides as well asthe BBC's White Heat. [MORE SPOILERS] He'll not only appear in Catching Fire, but seemingly both installments of the now-split Mockingjay finale.

So there you have it! After casting speculation that included everyone from Taylor Kitsch to Armie Hammer to Garrett Hedlund, Claflin is the one who will don those infamous fishing knots when Catching Fire hits theaters Nov. 22, 2013. Do you approve?
