"A brave new Glee."
That's exactly what the first promo for the Fox hit's fourth season says fans can expect when it returns on Sept. 13. They can also expect a kind of mean Kate Hudson (We love it!), Blaine (Darren Criss) performing Imagine Dragon's hit song "It's Time" and a familiar face joining New Directions! So who is it?
Plus, we get a quick first look at Sue's (Jane Lynch) baby and a cute Wemma moment!
"I bet you were a big star back in Iowa," a deliciously snarky Hudson says to her dance student Rachel (Lea Michele). When Rachel corrects her, saying, "I'm actually from Ohio," Hudson kicks her snarkiness up a notch: "Oh, Ohio? Even worse." Rachel Berry must be toast because she just got burned!
And it's time to meet one of the new members of New Directions: Alex Newell! Yes, it seems the Glee Project star will be returning as Unique and will be transferring to McKinley! (Sorry, Jesse St. James!) Brittany's (Heather Morris) amazing response? "That's a great haircut, Mercedes, but I thought you graduated?" Whole new Glee, same old Brittany.
Also, we saw that cute little nose tap, Will (Matthew Morrison) and Emma (Jayma Mays)!
Glee returns Thursday, Sept. 13, at 9 p.m. on Fox.
