It was definitely hard out there this week for Crunchy Black.
The former Three 6 Mafia member (real name Darnell Carlton) is recovering after being shot in the face and leg July 1 in Las Vegas, E! News has confirmed.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. in downtown Las Vegas.
The injuries were not reported as life-threatening, but did appear to result in substantial bodily harm.
The LVMPD Violent Crime detectives tell E! News that they have been "able to locate a possible scene where multiple rounds had been fired, but no suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting."
The criminal case is currently an ongoing investigation.
Crunchy Black left the Academy-award winning rap group in June 2006 in order to pursue a solo career. The remaining members of the group include DJ Paul and Juicy J.
Here's hoping Black has a speedy and safe recovery. We're sure he'll be back and poppin' his collar in no time.
