Taken 2 proves that no good deed goes unpunished.
After successfully dispatching the creeps who kidnapped his daughter in Taken, Liam Neeson's former CIA operative, Bryan Mills, becomes the target of the family members those creeps left behind.
But since his little girl, played by Maggie Grace, has already played the damsel in distress, who do the bad guys go after this time in hopes of teaching their nemesis a lesson?
His ex-wife, of course!
Further putting a hitch in their get-back-together git-along, Famke Janssen's Lenore is the one who gets taken—and only her ex-husband is schooled enough in the art of cartoon violence to get her back!
All the while, Mills is squaring off against the vengeful Murad, played by Croatian actor Rade Serbedzija (who recently starred in Angelina Jolie's directorial debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey).
We can only hope that all will end well again for the Mills family—though that probably means Murad's men are going to get a pretty raw deal.
Olivier Megaton takes over from Pierre Morel as director, while producer Luc Besson again cowrote the script with Robert Mark Kamen. The sequel to the 2008 blockbuster takes theaters Oct. 5.
