Seeing how Tina Fey once played a pirate on Sesame Street, perhaps Cookie Monster, Elmo and Oscar the Grouch were merely returning the favor.
How else to explain why the furry fellas popped up on the 30 Rock set in New York City this morning to shoot an appearance on the NBC comedy?
Not to mention, if you're a mom like Fey, you just know that being seen hanging out (yet again!) with these guys will no doubt make 6-year-old Alice and 8-month-old Penelope the coolest kids in the sandbox.
But this being 30 Rock, you know something crazy had to happen right...?

Well, it looks like it did: Street brawl!
Where just moments before Fey and her fuzzy friends had been posing, a monster-iffic brawl broke out amongst the critters, Fey and her TV boyfriend James Marsden—and we can only imagine it'll be hilarious.
Can't wait to see how it all plays out—but we know at least one of these brawlers is going to end up in a trash can.
