Attention, hardworking TV actors: Megan Mullally is making you look like a slacker.
In her fourth (!) TV gig so far this season, sources tell us exclusively that the former Will & Grace star has been cast on NBC's charming new comedy Up All Night for a talk-show-host showdown that sounds like comedy gold...
Mullally will appear in one episode, set to air sometime after the holidays, playing Shayna Mund, a rival to Maya Rudolph's character Ava. A one-time protégé of the Ava show, Shayna now seems determined to beat her former mentors at their own game, even if it means stealing Ava's show ideas.
Two words, my friends: Diva. Off.
Also: Good. Times.
Mullally also was just cast as a series regular on Fox's back-from-the-brink-of-cancellation, Breaking In, set to resume production in January. She also guest starred this season as Penny's mom on Happy Endings and Ron Swanson's (Nick Offerman) ex-wife on Parks and Recreation.
In related news, she is not lazy.
Up All Night airs Wednesdays on NBC.
