Happy Halloween, y'all!

To the surprise of precisely no one (who still has a brain), AMC has done the smart and responsible thing of renewing its creeptastic series The Walking Dead.

So how long will this undead show live on?

One more year. At least for now. AMC decided to pick up the The Walking Dead for a third season, citing the show's solid ratings for the current (second) season.

Much to the dismay of time-slot competitors like Pan Am, The Walking Dead is sucking some ratings life out of pretty much everything in its wake on Sunday nights. According to AMC, TWD continues to deliver the strongest 18-49 ratings for any drama in basic-cable history, shattering a basic-cable record set nearly 10 years ago for a single drama telecast (The Dead Zone).

What we're saying is, all you other Sunday night shows better run, runnnn for your liiiiiiiiives!

Congrats to the zombies!
