I was lucky enough to fly to New York to cover the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2. When I first arrived to the red carpet, all I could see were fans lined up along the streets. It was such a sight. People had been camped outside for 6 days just to hopefully get a glimpse of Harry, Hermione and Ron. Kids and adults alike were wearing hats, Hogwarts ties and capes while others waved flags and home-made posters.
I could really feel the excitement in the air. I think of all the premieres I have ever covered, the Potterheads are the best! So here is to the end of the most successful global franchise of all time. I can't wait to see what's next.
