We are so loving that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are not turning into a couple of party-happy Hollywood lovebirds.

Even though Bieber took home the Best Jaw Dropping Moment award over folks like Natalie Portman and James Franco at last night's MTV Movie Awards, he and Ms. Gomez didn't run off to some big bash to celebrate...

The two went for a bite to eat at Sushi Dan in Studio City. They were in and out in less than an hour. "They were with their big bodyguard," a fellow diner reports. "It was just the three of them."

They similarly went for a low-key pizza dinner last month in Las Vegas after Bieber won six Billboard Music Awards.

Gomez told me earlier in the day that, no surprise, she's no fan on the ongoing media coverage of the romance. "It's horrible," she said. "It's just horrible."

Even so, she won't let it get in the way of her living her life. When I remarked that she looked so happy with Bieber, she smiled, "I am happy. I'm really happy. I just focus on my fans, music, acting and the people that make me happy."

Next up for Gomez is a more than two-month tour with her band, Selena Gomez & the Scene, and the July 1 release of the romantic comedy Monte Carlo with Leighton Meester, Katie Cassidy and Cory Monteith. "When we started Monte Carlo, I felt like I was going to be the 17-year-old coming over to Leighton and Katie and they weren't going to include me," Gomez admitted. "But I was so lucky. They took me under their wing and are so protective of me."
