Bethenny Frankel...scared?! Pshaw!
Bethenny stars in reality shows, runs a family and writes cookbooks, right? Well, believe it or not, as accomplished as she is, our girl Bethenny was anything but confident before last night's Skating With the Stars debut.
Here's what she revealed backstage after hitting the ice:
Apparently, Skating With the Stars is—gasp!—scary.
"I'm very, very neurotic, so I constantly think I'm going to fall on something," she told us with a laugh. "Irrational fears."
But Bethenny has good reason for joining the series—and no, it's because she's addicted to starring in reality shows.
"Without a doubt, I'm doing this for women who are afraid to try things and don't take chances," she said. "I was truly terrified to do this, all arrows pointed to no, but I decided to fight that and said 'I'm scared, but I'm going to do it,' and that's what a woman needs to do." Sing it, sistah!
And if you think the newlywed Mrs. Hoppy was bummed about her low scores (she landed a little above last-place rocker Vince Neil), think again.
"What am I supposed to do—be upset that I'm not Peggy Fleming?!" she shrugged. "We don't take ourselves very seriously. We had a great time. I put my all into it, and that's all I wanted—to not fall, get through the routine and have fun, that's what it's all about."
Team Bethenny FTW!
Now it's your turn to let us know what you thought of SWTS. Does it fill the void Dancing With the Stars leaves behind after tonight's finale?
