Although Lindsay Lohan's role in Inferno is still in limbo—at least until we find out more from her hearing on Friday—the movie is still happening. And as of right this sec, it's sounding like it will go on sans Lohan.

"Inferno is going forward one way or another, regardless of what the judge throws down," a source close to the film tells us...

We know producer Chris Hanley and director Matthew Wilder hope the film can be made with Lohan (and if it is, they will smartly put a sobriety clause in that contract of hers), but we hear from other sources the creative team is prepping and assuming for the worst, aka more LiLo jail and rehab time.

"Key figures in the making of Inferno are fed up with the ongoing mess caused by Lindsay's legal mishaps," stresses our insider.

E! News learned exclusively days ago that the porn biopic was set to shoot in New Orleans in mid-November, which is why Lohan's role is now in jeopardy.

"They're not going to stop or wait indefinitely," sasses our source. "They're not sitting in a freezing position chewing their fingernails while this all plays out."

Hanley told us Monday that he and fellow producer Jordan Gertner were not "beyond irritated" at Lindsay like some outlets reported; however, they're not exactly thrilled with the situation, either:

"It is not to say we would not be upset over a breach of the court by Lindsay that has affected her personally, or the potential production schedule or location of the production," Hanley said.

Man, these guys certainly have more tolerance than the rest of the damn world, right?
