Now here's the Fantasia we all know and love.
In this clip from Popeater, the American Idol champ is seen glamming and hamming it up just days before she was hospitalized following an apparent suicide attempt. Laughing and joking and blowing the camera a kiss backstage at an L.A. studio, Fantasia appeared to be in high spirits as she promotes her third studio album, Back to Me, released yesterday.
In the days following the taping, the 26-year-old soulful singer told fans she was going through a "challenging time," after it was revealed that she was seeing a married man, Antwaun Cook, whose wife accused Fantasia of being a home wrecker.
Fantasia insists she was not responsible for the breakup of the marriage.
Now it appears the singer is bouncing back. With the second season of VH1's Fantasia for Real, premiering Thursday, and a series of promotional appearances on tap for next week, it seems she's already putting her troubles far behind her.
