Exclusive First Look: Four Original Castmembers Reunite on Melrose Place!

If you're a fan of either version of Melrose Place, don't forget to tune in tonight at 9 when the updated series returns to the CW with all-new episodes. But you also cannot miss the March 30 episode called "Santa Fe," which features a one-night-only reunion of castmembers Daphne Zuniga (as Jo Reynolds), Heather Locklear (as Amanda Woodward), Thomas Calabro (as Dr. Michael Mancini) and Josie Bissett (as Jane Andrews), as you can see for yourself above in the exclusive promo still we snagged for you guys!

As Melrose Place executive producer Darren Swimmer tells us, "We've had visits by original castmembers throughout the year, and we all thought, 'Let's get them together in one show.' One of the highlights of the season for me was walking on the set to see all four original castmembers together on the courtyard staircase. There was a true sense of reunion in the room, and I think you can see in their performances how tickled they are to be acting together again."

So why are Jo, Amanda, Michael and Jane reconnecting on the show? Here's the exclusive storyline scoop from insiders like Calabro himself:

The nefarious Dr. Michael Mancini says, "We have a bit of a reunion episode coming up. There are a couple of old characters in a scene in the show. It involves at least two girls I slept with and one I didn't...Actually there's a thread between me and one of those characters that goes through the entire show. It's not just a scene."

We're told that the big reunion comes about after Jonah throws a party to celebrate the pickup of his screenplay, even though none of the four original castmembers were actually invited to the bash at the good ol' Melrose Place building in West Hollywood. The originals all arrive at the party of their own accord and with their own hidden agendas.

As a CW source spills: "Michael Mancini is there threatening to out Lauren (Stephanie Jacobsen), Jane is there to find out why Amanda hasn't fired Ella (Katie Cassidy) yet and Jo has found out Amanda is up to no good again and confronts her. But they do have fun reuniting and Michael realizes he may have made a mistake letting Jane go." Awww...

There's also some drama coming up between Michael and Amanda, and Calabro tells us that he especially loves getting a second chance to work with Locklear, because, "Every scene is never just about what the scene is about—there's always something else going on with these two. They are kindred spirits, and in some ways you get the sense that they are going to end up together at some point. I always get that sense. Maybe it's just actor lust."

And hey, a little actor lust never killed anybody...
