Kelly Rizzo is reflecting on what her life has been like since her husband Bob Saget's death six months ago.
"6 months without my best friend, my travel buddy, my loving husband," she wrote in a tribute posted to Instagram July 9. "6 months without your silliness, laughter, music, cuteness, caretaking, sharp wit, thoughtfulness, cuddling, and warmth."
However, Rizzo noted "it's also been 6 months of looking for silver linings" and "learning how to brave the world" without Saget.
"6 months of care and compassion from so many who love you," she added of Saget, dad to daughters Aubrey, Lara and Jennifer. "6 months of getting even closer to your magical daughters and trying to all be strong together."
And she's continuing to live her life the way he would have wanted. "6 months of continuing to love, laugh, and live because that's what you would want…what you'd insist upon," Rizzo continued. "Even though you'd want to make sure that we all still miss you…and dear God do we ever. We miss you so much, every day. Love you honey, the world still isn't the same without you."
Along with her message, Rizzo shared a video montage featuring old footage of her and Saget. Set to Bruce Springsteen's "Land of Hope and Dreams," the tribute featured throwback clips of the couple strolling arm in arm, taking in concerts and attending red-carpet events together. It also showed the late actor's comedic side, such as by featuring videos of him lifting weights with two rolls of toilet paper and dressing up in onesies with his Full House co-stars John Stamos and Dave Coulier.
Earlier this year, Saget was found dead in a Florida hotel room. He was 65 years old. According to his family, authorities determined that the comedian, who had been touring in Florida, died from head trauma. "They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep," his family said in a statement in February. "No drugs or alcohol were involved."
Since Saget's passing, his friends, family, and former castmates have continued to honor his legacy. And Rizzo hopes that when fans think of Saget, they'll do so with a smile.
"His entire mission was just he wanted to make people laugh and make people happy," she told E! News at last month's Critics Choice Real TV Awards, where Saget was posthumously honored with the Impact accolade. "And it's pretty obvious that that's what his mission was. Because you'd see his face, you'd walk into a room, you'd see him on TV and you just smile."
