There's some good news being delivered to the Spears family today: Casey Aldridge has been moved out of the intensive care unit at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he was transferred Sunday after flipping his truck and sustaining a head injury.

"He is doing good," the recovering 19-year-old's uncle, the Rev. Odus Jackson, told E! News.

"It was a big scare there for a moment, but he got moved out of ICU and is doing good."

Aldridge, Jamie Lynn Spears' fiancé and the baby daddy to 10-month-old daughter Maddie, was driving four friends through rural Tensas Parish, La., in his pickup truck Sunday when, at 1:20 a.m., he lost control of the vehicle.

"I think he cut off the edge of the road, corrected and it flipped," Jackson said.

Authorities do not suspect that alcohol or drugs played any part in the crash. Aldridge, who received a careless-driving citation from Louisiana state troopers, was the only occupant of the vehicle to require medical attention, despite three of the four occupants not wearing seat belts.

"It didn't turn out to be a big scare, or as big as we thought," Jackson said. "It was scary there at first, but now we are in good shape."

Meanwhile, the 18-year-old Spears has been standing by her man, holding vigil at his bedside since the wreck.
