Anne Kendrick says she is nothing like Taylor Swiftwhen it comes to fan interactions.

Swift has over the years become known for connecting with supporters online and even in person—in 2014, she invited several to her house to attend listening parties for her new album 1989.

Like the singer, Kendrick also commands a large fan base, namely among girls and women, and is known for her funny and snarky Twitter posts. In a recent interview with Net-A-Porter's The Edit, the Pitch Perfect actress, who stars in the new R-rated comedy Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, talks about how she acts with her fans.

"I could play Madame Bovary and I'd still end up being dry and cynical," Kendrick said. "There are times where someone will be like, 'Do that thing! You know, do your thing!' I get mildly annoyed by that. But on a greater scale, I'm lucky that's [my] reputation; when I'm snarky with people, they know that's just how I communicate."

"I'd be terrible at being like Taylor Swift, the perfect Miss America version of interacting with fans and making sure they have a good experience," she said. "I mean, I don't want people to meet me and have it f--k up their day, but I'm glad I can say something weird to them and they know that's just me."

Kendrick and Swift have never interacted onscreen or been photographed together. In 2014, when asked in an MTV News interview if she preferred Swift or Katy Perry, her rumored rival, Kendrick said, "Katy Perry," citing her "boobs."

Last year, Kendrick's Pitch Perfect co-star Anna Camp told E! News she thinks Swift "would make a great Bella" in Pitch Perfect 3, adding, "I think it would be an even bigger movie!"
