Kim Cattrall, Sex and The City

HBO

Now this is the smoking gun Sex and the City fans have anxiously been waiting for.

Kim Cattrall recently responded to ongoing rumors that the four female leads behind the beloved HBO series will reunite in the near future, and her answer is more promising than ever. The actress, who played daring publicist Samantha Jones alongside Sarah Jessica ParkerKristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, replied to a Wendy Williams Show segment about the possibility of a spinoff starring Cattrall on Twitter Saturday morning.

"I'm so unbelievably flattered & moved," Kim wrote, adding, "Can't WAIT 2 get back 2 the serious business of making u all laugh! Fingers x'd."

Day. Made.

When a fan asked if Cattrall's response was solid confirmation that brand new SATC is on the way, she answered, "Finger's x'd..."

The last time we saw Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha together onscreen was six years ago when Sex and the City 2 hit theaters, and given 2018 marks the twentieth anniversary of its premiere, timing for a reboot has never been better.

SJP set the rumor mill ablaze in October when she told CBS' Sunday Morning, "I will say that the idea [for a SATC revival,] it rests in the butler's pantry. Not on the table, but somebody is holding it fairly nearby."

Looks like we're getting closer and closer to a greenlight on production!
