Seriously, WTF just happened?

Where in the world is Barry Allen?! Actually, more accurately, where in The Flash's multiverse did our hero go?!

At the very end of tonight's episode, after waffling back and forth for pretty much the entire hour, Barry (Grant Gustin) and the S.T.A.R. Labs crew decided to recreate the circumstances of the particle accelerator explosion that gave him his powers in the first place. That was probably their only choice, since they'll only be able to defeat Zoom (Teddy Sears) if they have the Flash.

But because nothing goes as planned on this show, the end result wasn't exactly as Harry Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and co. expected. Sure, it was contained and didn't spark the disaster that Evil Wells did, but at the end of the episode Barry was gone, his Flash suit was torn apart, and a mysterious force (speed force, perhaps?) struck Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) and Jesse (Violett Beane), leaving them passed out on the floor.

SO MANY THINGS ARE HAPPENING! First of all, Wally and Jesse just became speedsters, right? (Right. They're finally fulfilling their destinies as laid out in the comics. Duh.) Second of all, WHERE IS BARRY?! The episode ended with Zoom informing everyone that they'd just killed Barry, but the preview for next week shows Barry seemingly in some alternate universe.

One thing's for sure: He's not in Central City.

So where the heck is he? And what the heck happened to him? No, we're asking you. We need some explanation! Obviously we can't lose Barry for good, because he's our hero and who the heck wants to watch the show without him? But we're gonna need some answers as to what actually went down here (and how the team is going to save him). So please, educate us in the comments below!

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on the CW. Season two ends May 24.
