Major bling and cuteness alert!
Peta Murgatroyd, 29, flashed a giant diamond engagement ring on Sunday morning as she walked in Miami with her new fiancé, fellow Dancing With the Stars pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy, 35. It appears to be an emerald-cut diamond set on a split shank eternity band.
Chmerkovskiy had proposed to Murgatroyd onstage the day before at the SWAY: A Dance Trilogy event at the Olympia Theater, in front of fellow pro dancers and past celebrity contestants, including Meryl Davis, who won season 18 with him.
"I'm in love with you, and I want to be in love with you for the rest of my life," he told her.
Nika Volynets, creative director of the Olympia Theater, posted a video of the proposal on her Instagram page.
Murgatroyd shared a selfie of the two on her own account, during which she shows her engagement ring.
Reporter Kelly Blanco from NBC Channel 6 in South Florida had also posted a photo of Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy, in which she also flashes her ring.
Chmerkovskiy first began dating Murgatroyd in 2012. He had previously been in a relationship with Dancing With the Stars pro dancer and fellow Ukraine native Karina Smirnoff. They dated for about one year and were even engaged before they split in 2009.
Murgatroyd previously dated fellow Australian Damian Whitewood, who was a Dancing With the Stars pro dancer in season 10 and was Pamela Anderson's dance partner.
