Bindi Irwin can wrangle crocodiles like it's nobody's business, but trying to walk—and eventually dance—in high heels? Crikey, that's some tough stuff!

The 17-year-old daughter of the late Steve Irwin and Terri Irwin will be competing in season 21 of Dancing With the Stars, though, and she's not letting any fancy footwear mess up her chances of winning. That's why, actually, Bindi's already practicing getting around in some sophisticated shoes.

On Monday, the teenage conservationist Instagrammed a picture of her heeled black booties—and yes, that's a thick, low heel, but it counts. Bindi admitted she was "still trying to get used to wearing heels," adding endearingly, "Girls In Heels right now, reading this- I have major appreciation for you. Love, The Girl Who Mostly Lives In Khaki & Boots x"

Homegirl's not kidding about her typical wardrobe, either. "I'm used to khaki and boots and I think it will always be a part of my life," she said Monday on Good Morning America. "We always say khaki just isn't a color, it's an attitude; it's a part of who we are."

Bindi, who admitted she has "no dance experience at all," is looking forward to trying something completely foreign to her. "You can't just climb a tree or wrangle a snake in a dress very easily, so this is completely different," she said. "For me, Dancing With the Stars has always been something I've admired."

And even though Bindi's fearless when it comes to all things creepy and crawly, she admitted to GMA that the Dancing With the Stars judges "scare me more than crocodiles!"

The new season of DWTS premieres Monday, Sept. 14, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
