Peter Krause is following up his beloved Parenthood role with a pretty different type of gig: con man. E! News has learned Krause has joined the cast of The Catch as Kieran Booth.
In the series from Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers, Krause's character is a successful, long-time con man who lives a good life…with other people's money. He's really the best at what he does, but has he met his match in Mireille Enos' Alice Vaughan? In the midseason drama, The Killing star is a fraud investigator who falls victim to fraud herself by her fiancé and will stop at nothing to find him before he takes down her career.
Jennifer Schuur wrote the project and executive produces alongside Rhimes, Beers and Julie Anne Robinson.
In the original pilot for The Catch, Damon Dayoub played Kieran and One Tree Hill's Bethany Joy Lenz played his wife, Zoe. Her role is also being recast. Check out the trailer above.
This is Krause's first TV role since Parenthood ended (we're just about done crying over that by the way). His other TV credits include Sports Night, Six Feet Under, Dirty Sexy Money and Cybill. He was nominated for three Emmys and two Golden Globes for Six Feet Under.
No premiere date has been set for The Catch, but it's currently slated for midseason, perhaps as part of TGIT?
