For any performer, falling on stage is the definition of worst-case scenario. But when Madonna falls (gets pulled?), she at least has the support of another living musical legend!

Cher turned to Twitter to express her admiration for the Rebel Hearts album crooner, where she called the Queen of Pop a "champ" for finishing her performance despite the epic wipe out, which, while hilarious, also looked seriously painful. (This is why superhero costume designer Edna Mode of The Incredibles specifically says, "No capes!")

Thankfully, Madonna, who was performing "Living for Love" at the time, was unhurt and even Instagrammed a pic of the sketch for her Georgio Armani-designed cape. Writing that it was "tied too tight," the "Material Girl" said she was just fine.

"Armani hooked me up! My beautiful cape was tied too tight! But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes! I'm fine! ❤#livingforlove," she captioned the sketch.

Although she might physically be fine, her pride might be a touch hurt because the Internet practically exploded upon witnessing her tumble. People created hilarious memes and vines and also posted pics of their own takes on the cape-induced faux pas. Of course, a Twitter handle was also created for Madonna's cape and already has close to 5,000 followers.

Only a bad gal could finish this performance, so kudos to Madonna for being a rebel heart.
