LeBron James is a rock star on the basketball court, but will he have any game on the big screen?

The Miami Heat forward is planning to make his feature acting debut playing—we hope he doesn't get too lost in his character—a superstar NBA player in Ballers, about a group of guys who attend adult basketball camp. James has been collaborating on the project for some time now with Oscar-winning producer Brian Grazer.

So, Grazer is still up for it even after James' ESPN-abetted PR fiasco?

Can Blake Griffin dunk?

Rumors that the plug was pulled on the film after James overdramatized his move from Cleveland to Miami are untrue, and E! News has exclusively learned that he and Grazer are now moving full-steam ahead on the project.

The duo, who were spotted with their heads together last night at Siren Studios during a preview party for James' new animated web series The LeBrons, are hoping to see a final script soon. A rep for Grazer says they're hoping to start shooting this summer.

James is actually no stranger to the big screen (or the MTV Video Music Awards, or the cover of Vogue, or Kardashian dating rumors...), having appeared in the 2009 documentary about his rise to fame, More Than a Game

A rep for James has not yet returned a call for comment. It is All-Star Weekend, after all.
