Kate Can't Let Jon Have All the Attention, Sounds Off on Show Shutdown

The daggers have been out a while between Jon and Kate Gosselin, but today there's some serious bloodletting.

We already know what Jon's been up to, sending cease-and-desist letters, leaving strangely spelled signs on his front gate and having ethical problems with his kids being on Kate Plus 8 that seem to contradict his previous feelings.

It was only a matter of time before Kate offered her two cents...and one might argue this reaction is worth a whole lot more than a pair of pennies.

"It appears that Jon's priority is Jon and his interests," Kate says in a statement. "My priority remains our children and their well-being."

Yeah, them's fightin' words.

She also wants us to know that she's well-aware of the 180 Jon's made regarding his family appearing on the TLC show. And that she's totally the better parent.

"I'm saddened and confused by Jon's public media statements," she says. "Jon has never expressed any concerns to me about our children being involved in the show and, in fact, is on the record as saying he believes the show benefits our children and was taping on Friday with the kids.

"I check in regularly with each of the kids to be sure they want to participate in and continue with the show and will continue to do so. I do the show for my family because I believe it provides us opportunities we wouldn't otherwise have. Jon used to share that belief until as recently as the day the network announced the name change of the show and indicated that Jon would have a lesser role in the show."

Could someone please pass the popcorn while we cross our fingers and toes that the ring card girls at this cage match have better haircuts?
