Fencing is one of the oldest Olympic events—but it's been this year, in Rio, that the sport's profile has risen to new heights.
That's thanks in no small part to Miles Chamley-Watson. At 26 he's a fencing veteran with a unique move that's known as, yes, the Chamley Watson. But he's also been winning new fans who wouldn't know a foil from a sabre if it poked them right between the ribs thanks to his engaging personality—which along with his skills has made him a favorite of Nike, Red Bull, GoPro and more.
And no one's complaining about his physique, either, the London-born but New York- and Philadelphia-raised athlete having walked the runway for Rochambeau and posed for the pages of Elle and GQ.
Earlier this year Chamley-Watson was named a brand ambassador for Corkcicle as well, and you can see pics of the ridiculously fit fencer training with his Corkcicle sport bottle on his Instagram page—so thanks to everyone involved for making that happen.

But we digress. Also not long before he headed to Rio—where in a few hours he'll be competing in the men's team foil at the crack of dawn Friday morning—Miles graciously filled out our E!Q and revealed all the little things that make him tick.
For instance, perhaps a 5 a.m. en garde! time sounds awfully early to most, but that's when the 2013 individual world champion is always up and training anyway!
