ESC: Smoothie of the Day

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is the picture of perfection, and we have to assume that it has at least a little to do with what the supermodel puts into her body. 

Sure, she sticks to a pretty hardcore schedule of Body by Simone and Ballet Beautiful classes, but that's only half of the puzzle. To keep her body svelte and cover-ready at all times, she makes sure to sip down a green juice first thing in the A.M. 

Since we're on the green-juice train, too, we tapped celeb nutritionist Kelly LeVeque to whip up a nutrient-rich protein shake to sip on before, during and after our summer workouts. 

"Kale is a primary source of vitamin K1, which is essential for blood clotting, and K2, which supports bone health. It is also loaded with fiber," said the nutrition expert.

To get slurping on yours, follow the recipe below! 

The Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
Collagen protein 20g
1/2 avocado
1 tbsp chia
Handful kale
1/4 green apple
2 cups coconut milk
Toppings: hemp hearts

Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Pour in a glass and enjoy!
