Emma Stone has gone back to blonde!
The 27-year-old actress debuted a new, short, layered, platinum blonde 'do, completed with bangs, after leaving a hair salon in Beverly Hills Saturday. Some people have compared her new hairstyle to Taylor Swift's wavy platinum blonde bob, which she first showcased on the cover of Vogue's May 2016 issue and later, at Coachella 2016.
Stone, who is best known for her reddish locks, had most recently sported sleek, dark brown hair, a hairstyle she wore at the 2016 Met Gala earlier this month.
"I identify most with red hair. My mom's a redhead, so maybe I grew up seeing it more than seeing myself in a mirror," Stone told Stylecaster three years ago. "But I like blonde, too. It's just hair."
Stone sported slightly darker blond hair, cut in a wavy, side-swept lob, in late 2013, just after she filmed The Amazing Spider-Man 2, in which she reprised her role as Gwen Stacy, and the Oscar-winning movie Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), in which she played Michael Keaton's lead character's daughter.
It is unclear if her current hairstyle is for an acting part. Stone is currently filming the movie Battle of the Sexes, in which she sports a brown wig with bangs. She is also set to film the Netflix series Maniac, which will be directed by True Detective's Cary Fukunaga. She is also going to play 101 Dalmatians villain Cruella de Vil, who has been portrayed as half blonde, half brunette, in Disney's upcoming live-action movie Cruella.
