When Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas and James Corden are packed into a car to sing along to the radio, essentially anything goes.

As is the trend with most of the late-night host's automobile antics, celebrities often feel at ease in the faux seclusion of Carpool Karaoke and appear to instantly let their guards down—to the benefit of the entire world watching.

Such was the case for his most recent guests, the former Disney actors turned international pop stars. However, behind the dashboard, they were just Demi and Nick and they were holding little back.

In between bouts of belting out hits like "Confident" and "Chains," the award-winning artists dropped a few nuggets of information fans may want to revisit. From the real meaning behind "Cake by the Ocean" to why Jonas finally took off his purity ring, here are the five facts we learned from their segment on Carpool Karaoke:

1. Nick and Demi have been pals for a decade.

As former Disney stars, the duo became friends ten years ago and are about to celebrate their friendaversary. Who ever said nothing in Hollywood ever lasts?

2. Nick fell in love after dating Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus—but who was the lady that stole his heart?

After Lovato teased the former boy bander for dating the Disney stars back and forth, Jonas revealed that he later fell in love with a woman.

"I had a real relationship with an adult and I fell in love," he declared, adding that he decided then that it was time to take off his infamous purity ring. But, who was that lucky lady? Our best guess is Australian singer-songwriter Delta Goodrem, whom he dated in 2011 and is eight years older than him.

3. James Corden is the king of harmonies.

The Into the Woods actor has displayed his musical talents in past segments of Carpool Karaoke, but during this newest jam fest, it was undeniable—the man can sing. Whether he's harmonizing in falsetto octaves above his range or just rocking out to the melody, this man's vocal talent makes even the industry's greatest sound that much better.

While he jokes about going on tour with Lovato and Jonas, he might just steal the show altogether.

4."Cake by the Ocean" was inspired by a translation error.

As Jonas reveals in the segment, his brother Joe Jonas and his band DNCE discovered the origins of their memorable track when he was writing the song with some people from Sweden. When they asked him what the phrase "cake by the ocean" meant, the singer realized the Europeans were referring to "sex on the beach," but didn't have the right words. Just like that, a hit was born.

5. No one can do an impression of Joe Jonas quite like his brother.

If you fast forward to 7:23 in the clip, you will witness the most accurate representation of his older brother's quirky performing style. After all, no one knows you quite like your family.
