Is Ellen DeGeneres the mastermind behind Kelly Clarkson's baby name?! Well...

The daytime talk show host took to Twitter earlier today to congratulate the singer on the birth of her son, Remington Alexander Blackstock, who entered the world on Tuesday, and throughout their friendly exchange on the social media website, her son's nickname was born.

"Congratulations @Kelly_Clarkson & @BBlackstock! Remington Alexander is here! I'll call him Remy for short," Ellen tweeted. Kelly wrote back, "thank you!!! We're calling him Remy as well :)."

So, DeGeneres responded with a very valid question—"So you're saying I named him?" LOL!

While the jury's still out on that one, Clarkson did announce the happy news of her little one's arrival earlier today. "Our little baby boy has arrived!!" Clarkson tweeted Thursday. "Remington Alexander Blackstock was born 4/12/16 & he is healthy & we couldn't be happier or more in love!"

Clarkson first revealed her pregnancy during a Los Angeles concert in October, taking everyone (including her hubby) by surprise. She told the crowd, "This is not how I wanted to announce [that I'm pregnant]. My makeup artist is backstage hating me. I didn't want you to think I'm on pills or something."

She continued, "I would like to apologize to my husband. This was not planned. I'm just so hormonal. Everything is great, I haven't vomited yet. That's a win y'all."

Congratulations to the happy family!
