One year after disclosing her battle with Lyme disease for the first time, the singer is letting her admirers know that her health won't prevent her from enjoying a nice evening out on the town.
"Good to be back at the Junos Awards," she wrote on Instagram Sunday evening after posing on the red carpet. "Feeling healthy and enjoying the positive vibes here ❤#JunoAwards #Canada."
While wearing a black dress with neutral-colored heels, the "It's Complicated" singer flashed a giant smile on her face. To top it all off, Nickelback lead singer Chad Kroeger was by her side more than seven months after they announced their separation.
"I came with Chad because Nickelback got nominated and I'm just here supporting him," Avril explained to Canada's Etalk. Chad added, "I got tired of walking around with my band members, so I went and found hottie here."
This isn't the first time the pair has reunited after announcing their separation. Back in March, the music artists shared pictures working in the studio together.
In addition, the musicians made their first joint red carpet appearance in years while attending Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammys party in February.
While speculation continues to surround the pair in regards to their relationship status, Avril appears to simply be enjoying Canada with a friend who has experienced her journey for many years. "Throwback to Junos 2003 when @Nickelback presented me with my first Juno," she wrote on social media with a throwback video.
