Make some room at the Tanner family dinner table.
After months of anticipation, Fuller House is finally making its debut on Netflix on Friday, reuniting fans with most of the Tanner family--including sisters D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure) and Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), as well as everyone's favorite annoying neighbor Kimmy Kibbler (Andrea Barber). But the ladies are bringing some newbies back into the House with them.
At the Los Angeles premiere of Fuller House, E! News' Jason Kennedy chatted with Juan Pablo Di Pace, who plays Kimmy's ex-husband, Fernando, as well Sonia Nicole Bringas, who plays their daughter, Ramona, and Michael Campion and Elias Harger (two of D.J.'s kids!), about joining the iconic series' revival.
"When I walked in, it was huge," Juan Pablo, who watched the original series in his said of his first day on set. "It was very nerve-wracking and intimidating but that lasted two minutes because everyone is so welcoming and sweet and lovely and chill…it was such a pleasure!"
As for Sonia, she admitted to feeling a little pressure to live up to the Gibbler name, telling Jason, "I feel like there's a lot of stress to keep the legacy going, but it's so much fun. [Andrea]'s very helpful in teaching me the ways of the Gibbler!"
While Sonia, Michael and Elias are newcomers, Juan Pablo is known for a pretty iconic role before signing up to play the troublemaking Fernando: He was best known as Jesus (or, you know, "Hot Jesus") in NBC's A.D. The Bible Continues.
"It was the best transition ever because Jesus was a very hard character to shake off so when they said to me, 'Fernando, crazy, womanizing, funny!' I was like, 'Yes, please!' Juan Pablo said. "It was quite cool to jump to this because we had a ball every single day. It was the happiest set I've ever worked on."
