The Flash and Arrow crews are teaming up again for another super-sized crossover event. You already knew it would be amazing (you saw last year's—you know how great it can be), but now you can confirm said quality via the epic trailer the CW just released.

This year, they're on a quest to hunt down villain Vandal Savage (played by Casper Crump, who will pop up again at midseason when the spinoff Legends of Tomorrow makes its debut). As Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) succinctly puts it, "We're chasing down an immortal madman on a rampage against a reincarnated warrior priestess."

No big deal! Just another week in Central and Star Cities. Asks Cisco (Carlos Valdes), "Since when did our lives become an Indiana Jones movie?"

The Flash half of the adventure (and boy, does it feel like an adventure—hear that cinematic score in the promo?) begins when Vandal Savage attacks Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renee) and Cisco, who then turn to Barry for help. Barry gets Oliver (Stephen Amell) involved, and Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) shows up.

Turns out, although Kendra grew up in Wisconsin, there might be more to her back story than she realizes. (Spoiler alert: She's Hawkgirl and about to star on Legends of Tomorrow.) Check out the full trailer above.

The episodes, set to air Dec. 1 and 2 at 8 p.m. on the CW, are clearly setting the stage for the new spinoff—which both shows have been attempting to do to varying degrees of success.
