Jimmy Fallon, Alanis Morissette and Meghan Trainor Cluck "Ironic"

Tonight Show host had his guests dress up as chickens

Move over, Alanis Morissette! The Jagged Little Chicks are in town.

Jimmy Fallon somehow managed to convince Morissette and Meghan Trainor to not only dress up in full chicken costumes but also to perform Morissette's massive hit, "Ironic." But they didn't sing it like they normally would, lyrics and all. Instead, The Tonight Show host had them cluck the entire song.

That's right. They clucked it.

Even though both Trainor and the "You Oughta Know" singer are both incredibly talented, we would have to doubt their chicken impressions. But lo and behold, we were wrong. Somehow the duo and Fallon managed to make clucking sound kind of good. The bright yellow suited group even managed to harmonize the chorus, each adding his/her own pitchy spin as the song continued.

No one really understands why or how Fallon convinced the musicians to do this, but we'd have to say it was worth it.

Morissette re-released her breakout album, Jagged Little Pill, earlier this year in honor of its 20th anniversary, but her new collector's addition will feature 10 bonus tracks. She recently opened up to E! News about the music industry today and revealed which new artists she finds "exciting."

"I think there's a zeitgeist fame wildness that's going on right now that was really different 20 years ago," she said. "But I think in terms of the artists that are exciting to me are the ones not chasing fame; they're chasing their own expression and fame is a lovely...aspect of it."

Even though Jagged Little Pill has always been a go-to since its 1995 release, fans can expect even more from it, as the "You Learn" singer announced in 2013 that it was being adapted into a musical. The show, which tapped Green Day's American Idiot composer Tom Kitt, is still in the works.
