Jumping gigawatts, this L.A. couple just won wedding season!
Last October, days before Halloween, Alec Wells staged the ultimate proposal for his girlfriend, horror movie fan and Boys and Ghouls podcast host Katherine Canipe. He dressed up like killer Michael Myers from...Halloween.
Wells recently posted a YouTube video of the, er, romantic moment, which took place while they were on a tour of filming locations from the classic slasher flick. Canipe is led by a friend to her boyfriend, who freaks her out by popping out from around the corner wearing a Myers mask. She is then coaxed into following him and discovers a maskless Wells, crouched down on the sidewalk while holding with a black glove-clad hand a box containing an engagement ring, spurring her to sob.
Now that's the power of love.
"Ah, romance," tweeted horror movie icon Elvira.
How do you top a proposal like that? Oh, maybe with this amazing engagement photo!
That's right, Wells and Canipe recreated the iconic Back to the Future Part II poster. The engaged duo of course made the picture, taken by friend Ricky Middleworth, their Facebook profile pics.
"GREAT SCOTT! We're getting married!" Canipe wrote on Facebook.
Wells told the U.K. newspaper Metro the two plan to wed on Nov. 13, which is...yep, Friday the 13th.
Congrats, you two!
