If Alicia Vikander's star wasn't already rising to new heights, she's now landed her biggest role to date.
The Swedish actress will star opposite Matt Damon in the fifth installment of the Jason Bourne movie franchise.
No details have been released, but it has been announced that Paul Greengrass is returning to direct the film and is co-writing the screenplay with Christopher Rouse. Julia Stiles is also set to return.
Damon did not appear in the fourth film, The Bourne Legacy, but Jason Bourne was referenced. Jeremy Renner starred as a member of the Department of Defense's black ops program Operation Outcome.
The Bourne films were launched in 2002 with the Doug Liman-directed The Bourne Identity. Damon starred alongside Franka Potente.
Vikander was most recently seen in Ex Machina. Coming up are The Man From U.N.C.L.E. with Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer and the Oscar-buzzy The Danish Girl with Eddie Redmayne.
She is also the new face of Louis Vuitton.
