On Friday, a McKinney, Texas, police officer pulled a gun on a group of unarmed teenagers at a pool party.

Not many would call this troubling incident "progress," but that's the word Jessica Williams used to describe it on The Daily Show Monday.

Jon Stewart was confused by Williams' choice of term. "I'm sorry," he said. "[But] a cop pulled his gun out and dragged a 14-year-old girl to the ground by her hair..."

"Yeah, I know, white people always wanna touch our hair," Williams quipped. "It's nothing new, Jon! It's progress because the cop pulled a gun on a group of black kids and nobody is dead."

Williams herself was taking proper precautions by the pool, sporting what she called the "McKinney bikini"—aka full body armor beneath her swimsuit.

Stewart was disheartened by the ordeal and wished out loud pool parties could go back to just being fun. "With water balloons," he said, "and super soakers—"

"A water gun?!" Williams interrupted. "At a Texas pool party? Are you trying to get me killed?"

"It's Texas," the Daily Show host responded. "People are always waving guns around..."

"Uh, no, white people are, and they call it open-carry," Williams fired back. "For black people, it's called 'He's got a gun! He's got a gun. He's got a gun!'"

The two continued in their satirical back-and-forth until the conversation shifted to...Harry Potter? Watch the Daily Show clip above to see it all for yourself!
