The British have always been trendsetters; we can thank them for lots of things like Harry Potter, some of our favorite boy bands and even chocolate bars. And today we're thanking Red Nose Day founders Richard Curtis and Jane Tewson (both Brits) for bringing their televised Comic Relief UK event, Red Nose Day, stateside. Red Nose Day will air on NBC, and raise money for children in some of the poorest communities in the world. Established in 1985, Comic Relief UK has raised over a billion dollars and we here in America are excited to help!

Some of today's hottest celebs like Robert Pattinson, One Direction, Sam Smith, John Legend, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, Adam Levine, Will Ferrell, Julianne Moore, Julia Roberts and many more have joined together to help raise awareness for this great charity event.

Red Nose Day is a campaign "dedicated to raising money for children and young people living in poverty by simply having fun and making people laugh." The three-hour telethon airs tonight at 8 p.m.

Everyone better get ready because there is a lot coming your way tonight. And to help prepare, here are our top five things we can't wait to see:

1. Musical Collaborations: Um, Ed Sheeran performing with Kermit the Frog?! Yes please. Based on all the talent that will be under one roof we're anticipating even more can't-miss pop-up performances.

2. The Hosts:  Late night's main man Seth Meyers is joined by David Duchovny and award host veteran Jane Krakowski to take on emcee duties for the night. Each is slated to host one hour of the three-hour show. These three are sure to have plenty of fun cooked up, no doubt they'll break out into song, hopefully some kind of interpretive dance routine and lots of jokes.

3. Short Films: Throughout the telethon, we'll see footage of celebs traveling to areas most in need, and getting to know the people in these communities. Jack Black journeyed to Uganga and will share stories of his time spent with the amazing children of Kampala, The Voice coach Blake Shelton visited a mobile health clinic in Los Angeles and Michelle Rodriguez trekked through Peru. Make sure you have your tissues ready for what's sure to be very moving footage from areas most in need of help.

4. Sketches on Sketches on Sketches: If you haven't seen Anna Kendrick star in the remake of Indiana Jones watch this now, it'll give you a sneak peek into the kind of fun that'll be happening on stage tonight. We also can't wait for the mockumentary sketch about the making of a fake Game of Thrones: The Musical.

5. Dollars: How much money can we raise?! It's important to remember that all this funny is for good and the good comes from the dollars we donate, every dollar counts and will help to make a difference in the lives of children around the world.

Watch Red Nose Day tonight on NBC at 8 p.m.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
