Sneaky promotional trick or…

No, it's probably just that. You never know with Apple. That company can be so wacky!

Or as wacky as a tech company can be.

Screenshots for the iOS 8.1 iPad user guide popped up in the iBooks app in Apple's iTunes store on Wednesday. And in those screenshots were photos of the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3, which whoops, haven't officially been announced yet.

Apple is reportedly debuting them on Thursday, so it's actually a day early and a dollar over. Wait. That's not how the saying goes.

Anyway.

The screenshots have since been removed, but here is what the new iPads will probably look like:

The screenshots also confirmed that the iPads will have Touch ID sensors (which make us feel futuristic and fancy whenever we use it) and that the cameras will have the selfie's best friend: Burst Mode.

Those are the only noticeable features revealed by this leak, but we're sure tomorrow's big presentation will be much more exciting.

Apple has yet to comment on this premature reveal, and it took them a suspiciously long time to remove the screengrabs, considering the company usually likes to keep its big news under wraps until they decide it's time to unleash the latest gadget unto the world for the masses to consume.

And it's probably a total coincidence that this leak happened right after Google's announcement of their new tablet, Nexus 9, and their new smart phone, Nexus 6, right?

Right.
